In partnership with Frederick Assad Abisi Adult Education, CMAA’s English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes program provide opportunities for community members seeking to improve English language skills.

ESOL Overview

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes are for adult learners whose native language is not English.

- In order to register, students must reside in the Greater Lowell area and be at least 18 years old.

- Photo ID and proof of address are required before starting classes.

All instruction is in English. Reading, writing and speaking skills are taught. Students are grouped in Beginner, Low, Intermediate or Advanced classes according to their placement test scores. If you choose a class that is not available at your level, you will be asked to choose a different class.

Class Schedule Options will be on the Registration Form. (There may be changes in classes due to circumstances beyond our control.)
