- Rising Stars Summer Program | CMAA Lowell
RISING STARS SUMMER PROGRAM 2026’s Rising Stars Summer Program will take place from July 6th, 2026 to August 14th, 2026. Registration for the program will be open until June 21st. Sign Up Today The Rising Stars Summer Program is a 6-week summer program offered by CMAA to youth aged 7 to 16. The Rising Stars Summer Program begins the week after July 4th and ends in August the week of the Southeast Asian Water Festival. The program runs Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rising Stars is $175 per child Students are engaged in a variety of activities that encourage continuous learning throughout the summer, forming friendships with other students, community engagement, and physical activity. Field trips Rising Stars students have the opportunity to visit various educational and fun places in the Lowell area and Eastern Massachusetts that allow them to have new and exciting experiences. Arts & Crafts Youth will learn how to express themselves through various artistic mediums, such as drawing, painting, building crafts, and writing. Participating in artistic activities will also teach them new ways to view and connect to the world around them. Physical Activities and Sports The summer program encourages youth to stay active during the summer by providing a space to engage in physical activities and sports and by taking them to local parks in Lowell to have fun outside. Workshops with Guest Speakers The Rising Stars Summer Program invites many different guest speakers to talk to our youth about various topics such as public health, career building, and leadership skills. Our workshops also provide youth with an opportunity to learn about important organizations in the community. Registration is open for the 2026 Rising Stars Summer Program. Sign Up Today Questions? < Back CMAA Executive Director to Participate in LEADS Echo Fellowship Jan 16, 2026 Lowell, MA — Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMAA) Executive Director Sothea Chiemruom will participate in the newest LEADS Echo Fellowship cohort in the Merrimack Valley. The five-month fellowship brings together business and civic leaders from across the region to strengthen collaboration, address complex regional challenges, and build leadership capacity through peer learning and Harvard Business School case studies. Sothea Chiemruom’s participation reflects CMAA’s continued commitment to leadership development and regional partnership. Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute events, ensuring all details are managed effectively from start to finish. Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors to secure services and products for events. Sponsorship Outreach: Reach out to sponsors, partners, and corporations to secure sponsorships and partnerships for events. Detail Management: Handle all logistical details for major events, ensuring smooth operations and successful outcomes. Reporting: Collect and analyze data on event performance and provide comprehensive reports on event results to the Communications and Development Manager. Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for all event-related communications. Budget Management: Work within budget constraints to plan and execute events. Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align event objectives and ensure cohesive execution. Flexibility: Be available for some nights and weekends as required for event execution and planning. Qualifications Fluency in Khmer is preferred. Proven experience in event planning and coordination. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Benefits Competitive salary Competitive salary within the range of $43,000 to $50,000.
