About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Special Event Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Development Manager to plan and execute events from inception to completion, ensuring each event is successful and impactful. This role involves extensive communication and coordination with vendors, sponsors, partners, and corporations. Major events include the Khmer New Year, Annual Meeting, Gala, Water Festival, Flag Raising, etc. Fluency in Khmer is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute events, ensuring all details are managed effectively from

    start to finish.

  • Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors to secure services and products for events.

  • Sponsorship Outreach: Reach out to sponsors, partners, and corporations to secure sponsorships and partnerships for

    events.

  • Detail Management: Handle all logistical details for major events, ensuring smooth operations and successful

    outcomes.

  • Reporting: Collect and analyze data on event performance and provide comprehensive reports on event

    results to the Communications and Development Manager.

  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for all event-related communications.

  • Budget Management: Work within budget constraints to plan and execute events.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align event objectives and ensure cohesive execution.

  • Flexibility: Be available for some nights and weekends as required for event execution and planning.


Qualifications

  • Fluency in Khmer is preferred.

  • Proven experience in event planning and coordination.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
