Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association offers Khmer Language Classes at beginner and intermediate levels. We welcome students with little or no prior Khmer language learning experience. Space is limited. Sign up quickly! Please submit your application on our Online Registration Form.
Beginner Level
Beginner level classes are meant for those with little to no prior knowledge of Khmer. In this course, students will learn the Khmer alphabet and how to form and read Khmer words, phrases and sentences.
Intermediate Level
Intermediate level classes cover Khmer grammar, enabling students to acquire basic reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking skills. We apply a communication-based approach in our teaching. Emphasis is placed on good pronunciation and on the grammatical aspects of everyday conversation. Students will be able to read and write short, simple texts and communicate simple topics. Later, they will move onto more advanced Khmer conversations, enabling them to understand and speak Khmer more thoroughly.
Both beginner and intermediate level classes are available for youth aged 7 to 16.

Beginner Level: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Intermediate Level: 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM
