Since resettling in Lowell, MA, in 1989 from refugee camps, Thysan has dedicated his life to advocating for social change. His career spans roles as a community organizer, case manager, social worker, and clergy, all rooted in a passion for making a difference.

He holds a degree in counseling and has spent the past seven years supporting substance abuse and mental health recovery. At CMAA, Thysan continues his journey to create a positive impact and strengthen the community.
