Survey Creation: Design and distribute surveys to assess community needs and gather data for advocacy purposes. Reporting: Analyze survey data and create comprehensive reports to present findings and support community advocacy efforts. Collaboration: Partner with Lowell Votes, local organizations and stakeholders to enhance civic engagement and provide better services to the community. Flexibility: Be available for occasional nights and weekends as needed for community events and activities. Qualifications Fluency in Khmer is required. Experience in community engagement, civic participation, or a related field. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of local government processes and electoral systems is a plus. Sophal has a Bachelor's degree from Phnom Penh University, Cambodia, in the Art of Japanese (Japanese for Business), and has taught as a Japanese Teacher. Sophal has been living in the U.S. for over 6 years with her husband and her daughter. She has joined the JVS Job Readiness Training Program and also has certificates such as, the Monorom Family Support Program's Computer Training and Certificate of Achievement (Diabetes Self-Management Workshop at Monorom Program. Sophal loves the opportunities, freedom and the life that she has built up here in the U.S.
