CMAA to Host Annual Celebration on April 18 Featuring Traditional Performances, Cultural
Activities, and a Citywide Parade.
Lowell, MA — The Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMAA) proudly invites the
community to celebrate the 2026 Khmer New Year, the Year of the Horse, at its annual cultural
gathering honoring traditional Khmer arts, culture, and heritage.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM at the Lowell
Senior Center. The festivities will continue with a community parade departing from the Senior
Center to Clemente Park at 12:30 PM.

This vibrant and family-friendly event will bring together community members of all ages to
celebrate Cambodian heritage through traditional performances, cultural activities, and shared
experiences that reflect the richness of Khmer identity. Attendees can look forward to a joyful and
engaging morning that uplifts community spirit while preserving and promoting cultural traditions.
Khmer New Year, one of the most important holidays in Cambodian culture, marks a time of
renewal, family connection, and gratitude. CMAA’s annual celebration continues to serve as a
meaningful platform for cultural exchange and community engagement across the Greater Lowell
area.
