Mentorship Program

Mission:

To cultivate a culture of learning and friendship among Khmer high school students through lifelong mentorship and friendship—fostered by relationships among college students and working professionals.

Goals:

For High School Students:
Have a college mentor to look up to, call when needed
College prep planning, essay writing
Relies on experience of college student to leverage successful college search etc.

For College Students:
An opportunity to foster change in someone’s life
Use mentoring experience as a launching board for leadership roles and career opportunities
Leverage professional mentors as a source of reference, learn more about various industries.

For Professionals:
An opportunity to give-back.

Program Guidelines:
The CMAA will be the formal sponsor of this program. However, in order for this program to be successful, the individual professional mentor will have to be proactive in arranging meetings with both college and high school students.

Suggested meetings via email, phone calls or face to face; twice monthly.
