About the Role

Rising Stars is a 6-week long summer sports and leadership program for youth and families that don’t have adequate resources for summer programs. This program will help keep youth focused on developing their leadership skills through a variety of activities. Sports, team building, educational workshops, guest speakers, and field trips are just some of the activities and tools we use to help participants develop the skills and experience for personal growth.

Orientation and CPR Training (Mandatory): Week of Jun 24, 2024

Start Date: Monday, July 8th, 2024 

End Date: Friday, August 16th, 2024

Number of Work Hours Per Week: 30 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM -3:30PM

Workspace: On-Site - CMAA Office and Lowell Community Charter Public School

Salary/Stipend/Benefits: $17.00 - 17.50 Per Hour 

Positions To Fill: 6 Senior Counselors


  • Supervising a classroom of campers ranging in the age of 7-8, age of 9-11, and age of 12-14. 

  • Coordinating with the assistance of junior counselors to help facilitate the program efficiently. 

  • Conduct daily physical activities every week according to the schedule.

  • Willing to engage in necessary emergency training and protocols to assure safety within the program.

  • Maintain professional standing in the work environment. 

  • Ability to adapt to situations. 

  • Assist the Youth Program Coordinator and Program Assistant to ensure a fun, safe, and active learning environment. 

  • Practice COVID-19 Protocols. 


  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 

  • Pass CORI and SORI screenings.

  • Mandatory fully Covid-19 vaccinations. 

  • Have adequate background knowledge of sports and other physical activities. 

  • Transportation is not necessary but a plus.

  • Enrichment in Khmer.
