April 12, 2024 @ 10AM

Kick off Khmer New Year with us as we join the City of Lowell, Lowell Community Charter Public School, and Lowell Public Schools in raising the Cambodian flag in recognition of the Cambodian community in Greater Lowell!


This event will be held at the Lowell City Hall at 10am, and will be streamed live on LTC channel 6 and our Facebook for those who cannot make it in person.

April 20, 2024 @ 12:30PM

Be part of the Khmer New Year Parade that will be traveling through the Lowell neighborhoods from the Acres to the Lower Highlands! The route will start at the Lowell Senior Center and end at Clemente Park (Pailin Park).
 

Below is how you can take part in this event:

  1. If you have a Cambodian flag, present it in front of your house to be a part of Khmer New Year month. *CMAA is giving away small Cambodian flags, which can be picked up at our office.

  2. Our parade may interrupt your traffic, so we thank you for your understanding!

  3. Watch the parade live on our Facebook Page.

April 20, 2024 @ 9AM

Join CMAA and community partners on April 20 for our annual community event celebrating the Cambodian New Year at the Lowell Senior Center from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event will feature delicious Khmer food, beautiful traditional outfits, and live performances of Cambodian folk dance.


Free and open to the public. Everyone is urged to join, relish the cuisine, engage in the celebrations, and discover more about Cambodian culture!

Clemente Park Committee hosts the 14th Annual Lowell Khmer New Year Celebration at Clemente Park (also known as Pailin Park) - the heart of the Cambodian Town district!

This free family-friendly event is open to all! As home of the Official Free Fish Sauce Giveaway, 204 bottles will be given away at 2:30PM - first come, first serve!

Live performances by local Cambodian musicians and dancers, including a Chayyum band. Activities for all ages include traditional Cambodian folk games, Tug-O-War competition, musical chairs, PLAYcation activities by the Lowell National Historical Park and Pollard Memorial Library Bookmobile, and a kids area with Earth Day activities, coloring, reading, games, and face painting. Public art by Asian Women for Health, The Center for Hope & Healing, UML AACEE, and more.
