45th Anniversary Khmer Genocide Memorial

April 17, 2020 marks the 45th anniversary of the beginning of the Khmer Rouge Genocide in Cambodia, which took the lives of nearly 3 million people.

An intergenerational group of community members from the Greater Lowell area are organizing a ceremony to remember the atrocities that took place, honor the deceased, and recognize the hope and healing that was and is still needed to overcome this crime against humanity.

Date: Friday, April 17, 2020
Time: 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Location: JFK Plaza, Arcand Drive, Lowell, MA

In order for this event to be successful, we are soliciting donations for food, water, ceremonial supplies, printing (event flyers and photographs of the deceased and survivors), A/V equipment, and a photographer to document the event for future years.
